Grades 1 & 2
In the primary grades, my role with identified students is to supplement the regular education curriculum through the incorporation of thinking skills. I work with them one time per cycle during a Language Arts block or during their Intervention/Enrichment (I/E) time, appoximately 40 minutes. Units vary depending on group size and composition, focusing on higher-level skills which tie into their math, language arts, or content themes.
If there are no identified children in a grade level, I may assist the classroom teachers during their I/E time by working with a small group of students on an identified skill.
